DISCIPLINED APPROACH

When the fund enters any trade, it does so with a 1% stop loss and a 3% take profit bracket order. Over 290 trades since inception, the system has been right roughly 50% of the time. This 1:3 risk-to-reward ratio has resulted in an average gain of 2% per trade.

SHORT TERM TRADES

There are between 2-4 trades per week and the average trade is typically no more than four hours in length. We look at 7 different technical indicators over numerous time horizons to make the decision to enter a trade.

Note: Performance is derived from actual trade alerts made in the model portfolio over this time period. Not back-tested.

ONLY LONG OR SHORT ONE NASDAQ ETF

We only trade the Proshares Ultrapro QQQ (TQQQ) long when the market goes up and it's countercyclical inverse SQQQ when the market goes down. These ETFs provide a 3x leveraged position on the Nasdaq 100 Index so when the market moves 1%, these ETFs move 3%.

HIGH LIQUIDITY

The fund is in a cash position over 90% of the time so access to liquidity is higher than most hedge funds.

Reduce Risk With A Higher Sharpe Ratio

When it comes to investing, risk management is just as important as returns. With a three year Sharpe ratio of 1.15 , our model portfolio has proven to generate higher risk-adjusted returns than the S&P 500 , which only has a Sharpe ratio of 0.67 over the same period. This 71% difference means that with QTrade, you're gaining more return for each unit of risk taken. It’s not just about outperforming the market—it's about doing so with significantly less risk.
